First time ever in MiQP! Had a blast! - AC8PI   Thanks for a great contest! - AC8PM  Had other plans for the day, but managed to put in three hours - AD8J  Working portable - Good fun! - KRJW  I hope this paper log is OK. The computer died, and with it the logging program - K7ZYV (Paper logs are always welcome Carl - ed.)   Great coaching from a seasoned contester resulted in a rookie effort that I'm proud of. First MiQP, first use of N1MM+, first use of K1EL WinKeyer. 40M rocked, but next time around, Ill try to make a better showing on 20M and 75M/80M.  Had a few good runs, but I need to learn when to give up and QSY. I really enjoyed working all of the mobiles. Chasing them made things really interesting and challenging - K8BKM   Great condx at the start - 104 QSOs in the first hour on 40 SSB.  We were expecting a big flurry of activity on 80/75 in the waning hours of the contest, but it never materialized.  Perhaps folks stayed on 40M? - K8MQP  This MiQP is best described as a series of outdoor tasks and visitors interrupted by a contest.  I could never get anything going before dinner out with my wife and friends here in East Tawas.  Somehow, I missed working the LIVI powerhouse, in spite of CQing on 40M CW and SSB. Also, had several unexpected dupes in my 90 QSOs.  I need to improve on some fronts such as: "but-in-chair", solar conditions, dinner plans and to find the fountain of youth :-). I'll be back again next year. 73 - K8SIA  We operated from the QTH of K8PGJ - KA8O  As a first timer in MiQP, it was a great contest, looking forward to next year - KB8APS   Good contest, the only one that I enter! - KB8W  Not much to show for the time put in, but did pick up two counties I needed - KC7YE  Does this really work? - KC9NVN  Having lived in Michigan for eight years, this is one of my favorite QSO parties - KDJBN  I had a great time participating in my first MiQP - KD8UQN  My first contest - KD8YEO  Rover mobile in five counties - KE8CQ/m  I had a great time camping and activating Charlevoix County QRP.  I got sunburned and my dish water froze. Typical  MI WX - KG8JK  Micro Expedition number 31, portable in Moss Park in Dallas, TX - KM5VZ  Did not hear much activity on CW - KN4Y  After 30 contacts, the logging program quit and I had to send in money and wait for the software key to arrive.  I only got to work about five hours in the contest.  Sure had fun though! - KN8N  Great contest! I used my remote system from my home in MN to operate my station in nearby northwest Wisconsin - NIJ  Condx not very good, but enough activity to the ole "butt-in chair". Nice to work a lot of ole friends...some great operators. Thanks to the sponsors and all who made it a success - N4PN  Kenwood TS-950SD, Heil ProSet with HC-5 element, and home brewed G5RV up 50', running N-S at 6,053 feet elevation in Laramie County, WY - N7MZW Thanks to all who slowed down for me so I could make my first CW contest contacts ever - N8ERL Fun contest. But didn't work as hard as I should have. I thought I'd be trounced from this home location, but... it looks like we came close to the top for QRP. I had tentative plans to operate from the highest point in the county, but after looking at the (lack of ) facilities at Fisk Knob County Park, I decided to stay home. Conditions were fair to good - 20 and the lower wavelength bands we marginal, 40 was "OK" at first, then turned to good, then back to marginal. A few people moved to 80 early, so 80 was so-so until until about 0100Z. SSB on 75 was up and down - towards the end, few fold hung around, so mainly CW for the last hour. Thanks to the organizes for a FB job! - N8F  80M only, noisy band, but many stations! - N8HKU  Could only operate for 5 hours. Could have used better band conditions - N8NJA  Had A blast! Replaced my vertical with a dipole on 40/80, and beat all my previous efforts all hollow!  Can't wait until next year... - N8SBE Had fun as always. Could only work it for a limited time. See you all next year - ND3R  Portable in Mason County - NW8E  Logging on two computers simultaneously with one for the Ontario QSO Party and another for Michigan was a bit of a challenge. Thanks to all - great fun! - VE3TW  Rig was FTDX5000 and Butternut vertical. Good turnout from Michigan stations. An enjoyable hunt - W1END  Got on about 1 PM.  Had a  meeting in the AM. Wx was so good I had to work outside. Anyway, nil on 15M but 20M had some QSOs. 40M seemed to be the band from here. Tnx to the mobiles for putting out counties! Keep the short format. CU next year! 73 - W2UDT  Great contest, thanks.  Conditions here were good, but not great. I enjoyed the contest and thanks to all. 73 - W8DW  Special event callsign from Keweenaw County - W8K  This was our second year in the MiQP. Operators were the same as last year - my father-in-law Bob, K2YAZ, my wife Liz, KJ6RQU and me (Ryan, K6RQT).  Our daughters Mary (2 years) and Ellie (4 MONTHS) also joined us. Despite high levels of toddler/baby QRM, both our QSO and multiplier totals went up from last year, which seemed to be a result of devoting more time to 20M and SSB in general to pick up extra mults and QSOs from more casual operators We ran the same set up, with just one radio running about 400W into a HexBeam on 20M and wires on the low bands. Thanks to the organizers for putting on a great event, the mobile stations for getting out and activating the rare counties, and everyone else for all the QSOs. We had a great time again this year and are looking forwards to seeing everyone from LEEL IN 2016 - W8MMM  Apologies to all for having to bail out of the contest after only three counties. Thanks for the QSOs and 73! RON AND BILL - W8RU/m We had good fun jousting with the W8UM guys from U of M, although it looks as though "The Ol' Michigan Log" plaque will be residing in Ann Arbor. We had a good time showing our new ops all about the finer points of contesting, and to attract Murphy! 73 - W8SH   This year, operated from Lincoln, MA in EMA - W8TOM  In a variation of the old "my dog ate my homework" excuse, the tape machine recording my mobile log chewed up approximately twelve QSOs from Genesee County between 2352-0014Z. (Don't worry, nobody will get dinged for the missing QSOs - ed.)  Thanks to everyone for pulling me out.  It is always a pleasure to travel and hand out multipliers - W8UE/m   MiQP was a great club event for us with some new hams involved - W8VY  Decided to go low power this year...not a bad score for 100W from the West Coast.  I also worked the Nebraska and North Dakota QSO parties! Once again, lot of good Michigan ops! - WA6KHK  Another MiQP, and another slow start, bands were broke. I had fun but wish I'd score better. I did my best and improved my CW operating skills - WA8Y Thanks Michigan QSO Party. I had a wonderful time. I'll be back next year. Good operators and lots 'o fun. 73 - WO9B
