Thanks for the nice QSO party. Band condx in MO were very poor. CU in the next MiQP. - K2HT  Happy Easter  - K4GOP  Lots of contests this weekend.  Exchanges got a little confused - K8BZ  SD by EI5DI is a great logger; get it - K8FZY 40M seemed good at the start with a lot of in-state mults.  Condx were very poor to the south on 20M early, K9TM in Sarasota, FL was texting us about MI stations CQing in his face on 20M while running 500W to a Gap vertical.  After nightfall we kept watching for business to pick up on 80M, but it never did.  In the end, we wound up down from our 2012 score - K8MQP  "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times" (Dickens). That sums up MiQP 2014 for me. I could never find a band to support a run.  At the end, I tried 80 CW and was answered by a loud K8UNS from WAYN, but no one else answered my CQs. Bands were long, so in-state mults are way down.  But it was fun and I will do it again next year - K8SIA  My antennas was a rain gutter and downspouts - K9GDF  Not much time to play this year...still a fun event!  Too bad it was on Easter Weekend...many family activities - K9UIY  Condition were rough and there weren't as many stations on as usual. However, the contest was a lot of fun anyways - KB8TYJ  Having lived in Michigan for eight years, this is one of my favorite QSO parties - KDěJBN  Not claiming points - just confirming contacts - KF7WWP  First time out mobile - KG8JK/m  The wx was cold and my CW digital dexterity was diminished due to my stiffened fat fingers.  The mobile activity lessened the pain. On a scale of one to ten, MiQP 2014 was in there somewhere - KN4Y  Thanks to the mobiles who were out the day before Easter. K8IR/m put in an outstanding effort...thank to all who showed up - N4PN  Managed to sneak in just over one hour of operating time in the evening - N8HKU   Had a lot of fun. CU all next year - ND3R  Had a great time chasing the mobiles. As always, Michigan ops are fine guys. CU in the 2015 MiQP - W1DWA  Condx bad at the start, but got better as the day went by. Had a good time as always, thanks to the Mad River group - W8DW  Operated from the Midland High School ARC club station - W8MHS  First event ever for W8MMM. Operators were my wife, Liz KJ6RQU, father-in-law, Bob K2YAZ and myself, Ryan K6RQT. Contest was a lot of fun, and it was great to see so many ops from outside of Michigan coming out to support us.  Ran 500 watts into wire dipoles at about 50 feet for 40 and 80 meters, and a hexbeam at about 25 feet for the high bands. Thanks to all for a great event, and looking forward to next year - W8MMM  This was our first mobile entry and we struggled.   Not sure if it was our antennas, condx or activity levels - W8ZZ/m  Propagation was very poor, so I didn't make many QSOs.  But, the operators were great, the QSOs were fun, and I had a blast anyways! CU next year! - WA5SWN  Thanks to K8IR/m and K8MAD/p for giving me my last three counties to finish Michigan. Only 67 counties to go to get all US counties for the second time. Band condx were not the best but we did OK...and we didn't even have to take the Michigan stations QSYing between modes!!! HIHI - WA6KHK  New: PC, logger, radio and desk. Wind storm took out some wire antennas. Got 'em fixed by noon. I had fun! - WA8Y
